True (Special Edition)

Spandau Ballet took a pinch of Roxy Music's Avalon, a dash of Bowie's Young Americans and a dollop of Haircut 100 and brought a sophisticated, plastic soul sheen to their previously arty synth-rock foundation. Helping matters considerably is that the once overly serious band sound light on their feet and vocalist Tony Hadley had learned how to stay in tune. "Lifeline" and "Communication" are two of the best hit singles of the 1980s, while the international No. 1 smash "True" became the most slow-danced-to song in history.
