After the death of longtime friend and producer Tom Dowd, Gregg Allman lost the fire to get back into the recording studio, which explains the 14-year gap between albums. With Grammy-winner T-Bone Burnett, he finally made his way back into the studio with a handful of obscure blues songs from greats such as Muddy Waters, BB King and Buddy Guy. A team of musicians helped Allman rekindle the fire, laying down a sparse yet biting musical bed. Standouts include "Blind Man," "I Believe I'll Go Back Home," "Please Accept My Love" and "Just Another Rider" -- the only Allman-penned song.
